We made a pact… To boldly offer samples of what no online retailer has ever offered samples of before. We started with some old favourites, and had some pretty exciting stuff on offer (including some show-stopping Glenfarclas Family Casks), but we never had anything quite like this…
We’re proud to announce a fantastic foray into the world of ultra premium spirits. Now you can try 3cl samples of mindboggling whisky that, until now, very few people have had the great privilege to try.
Starting with a slew of very old single cask whiskies from a selection of Scotch legends, we now offer 3cl samples of the following:
Port Ellen 30 Year Old 1979 (Douglas Laing) £13.85 – From the Old and Rare Platinum range, a super rare whisky with masses of peat and citrus character.
Ardbeg 18 Year Old 1991 Cask 5440 (Douglas Laing) £7.15 – All the classic Ardbeg flavours, yet not overly punchy, “Eminently quaffable”.
Tomintoul 33 Year Old £6.85 – Rich and cereal sweet with hints of spice and lots of malt and oak – beautiful.
Imperial 27 Year Old 1982 (Signatory) £6.55 – Single cask whisky from Imperial – Very hard to find - the distillery has been closed for five years.
Highland Park 41 Year Old 1968 (Duncan Taylor) £16.85 – Sweet and very rich with flavours of marmalade, potpourri and lots of spice.
Brora 28 Year Old 1981 (Douglas Laing) £19.45 – Sherry matured whisky from a closed distillery, lots of malt, hints of pipe tobacco, coffee and a touch of salt.
Rare Ayrshire 34 Year Old 1975 (Signatory) £7.75 – Very, very rare whisky from the Ladyburn distillery, this was matured in top quality bourbon casks.
Kinclaith 35 Year Old 1969 (Signatory) £34.35 – A rare malt from a distillery which closed during the 1970s!
Big Bodied Blends
Black Bull 40 Year Old £6.65 – Incredibly old for a blend. Very high malt content, the result is creamy with fruit, cinnamon and pastry notes.
Big Peat £2.45 – Blended malt made in limited quantities, this is full bodied with lots of peat, seaweed, smoke and sweetness.
Grand Old Grain Whisky
Garnheath 40 Year Old 1969 (Douglas Laing) £6.35 - You don’t often see grain whisky, so when its single cask and aged upwards of 40 years, you know you’ve found something very rare indeed! Notes of caramel, dark fruit and mochaccino.
