Auchroisk 23 Year Old 1997 (cask 17814) - The First Editions (Hunter Laing)
Here's an indie bottling of single malt distilled by the brill Auchroisk Distllery, aged in a refill hogshead for 23 years – from 1997 to 2021. Following that rest, it was independently bottled up by Hunter Laing and released as part of the literature-inspired First Editions series. 199 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Green apples and roasted peanuts, with a hint of warm hay underpinning it all.
Palate
Pine, melted chocolate, crumbly fudge, and a hint of dried blueberry.
Finish
A soft spiciness of peppercorn and liquorice grows.
