Rum Finish
From independent bottler The Whisky Cellar comes a 22 year old single malt from the Benriach Distillery! It was distilled back in December 1997 and eventually bottled up in August 2020, following a finishing period in a rum cask! Just 189 bottles were released, presented at cask strength without any chill-filtration or additional colouring.
Fruit-forward notes of ripe apricot and apple, with a dusting of brown sugar and nutmeg. Enjoyably oaky, too.
Grilled banana, stewed plums and a kick of ginger, plus a subtle hint of toasted cedar. Cinnamon and more nutmeg build in the background.
Earthy vanilla and continued warming spices.
