Fettercairn has released its third batch of its Warehouse 2 single malt Scotch whisky! The series has showcased some intriguing cask combinations, and that continues here – this edition has been aged in a combo of bourbon barrels, rum casks, and French red wine barriques. Not every day you see that trio together! Impressive, satisfying, and intriguing whisky from Fettercairn.
Apple turnover, tropical fruit, a smidge of floral honey and rose petal jam.
Redcurrant, sultana, toasted sugar, heather honey, nutmeg, crushed peppercorns.
Lingering hints of melted butter and raspberries.

I bought this when it first came out. Taking a bit of a punt as I’m a sucker for limited runs and this seemed like a good shout. Really really pleased! It’s a very fruity flavour. Easy to drink despite the relatively high abv. I’ve not tried it with water yet but may bring out more flavours. My only issue is, I liked it so much I’ll be disappointed when I’ve finished the bottle and can’t get any more.
