Glen Scotia 8 Year Old (Peated PX Cask Finish) - Campbeltown Malts Festival 2022
In celebration of the 2022 Campbeltown Malts Festival, Glen Scotia has created a rather excellent expression indeed! This is a well-peated eight year old single malt Scotch whisky, distilled in Campbeltown and initially matured in first-fill bourbon barrels before being moved over to Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads for a final 12 months of rest. A superb smoky/sweet balance on display here, folks!

Nose
Red apple, treacle, a soft hint of coastal peat slowly building.
Palate
Sea salt and black pepper crackers, milk chocolate, caramelised nuts.
Finish
Maritime breeze and a dusting of brown sugar.
