An 11 year old single malt from the GlenAllachie Distillery, released as part of the Single Cask series. This particular expression was drawn from a Sauternes barrel, which has helped to introduced a wealth of bright, sweet, fruity notes to the whisky. Just 299 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Plum, peach and pear, with a hint of floral barley underneath.
Palate
Honey, more peach, crystallised ginger, orange boiled sweeties and a balancing touch of savoury oak.
Finish
Sugared almonds, barley and mint.
