A marvellous single cask bottling of GlenAllachie single malt here, drawn from a single Port pipe! It was distilled back in 2008, and bottled up in 2020 after 12 years of maturation, resulting in 700 bottles, presented at cask strength. Enjoyably decadent stuff, this.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Treacle tart, juicy redcurrant and apple, just a hint of earthy oak.
Palate
Spicy at first with cinnamon and nutmeg, before chocolate and more redcurrant sweetness comes along to mellow it out.
Finish
A touch of chocolatey coffee on the finish.
