A variation of Kura The Whisky blended malt whisky, which has enjoyed a finishing period in casks that previously held rum. We're rather fold of rum cask finished whiskies, as they help to bolster any lip-smacking fruit notes - and that's exactly what has happened here.
Hard to pin it down, it does have some smoke, it does cover a few smoke flavours very lightly. There is sweet smoke, an earthy smoke, an ashy smoke and even medicinal smokiness. Not a long finish. Enjoyable.
The rum cask brings out some nice notes from this whiskey
A fantastic whisky. Take your time to enjoy this dram.
I was a little sceptical with this whisky given previous review on this site however, we throughly enjoyed this whisky and rating it the stars it deserves. I review whiskies are a job and this to me stands out as a different but stunning drink
Just bought this bottle from Japan. And I don’t understand the reviews below. Excellent whisky with beautiful notes
