Highland Park 21 Year Old (2023 Release)
The 2023 Release of Highland Park 21 Year Old is here. It was crafted from 36 bourbon hogsheads, first-fill sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks, and Rioja casks, all laid down between 1998 and 2001. They were selected and married together by master whisky maker Gordon Motion.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
This enticingly sweet and spicy single malt Scotch whisky opens with delicious aromas of tropical fruits, toasted almonds, freshly grated nutmeg and floral peat smoke.
Palate
Complex and finely balanced layers of flavour follow in a wild harmony of lemon zest and aromatic fenugreek, apples caramelised in honey and cinnamon, and a dusting of cedar-smoked sweet paprika.
Finish
You’ll discover woody spices lingering at the finish, with just a hint of citrus oil in the heather-rich peat smoke.
