Cracking cask strength single malt from Linkwood, distilled in 2007 and matured for 14 years, including a stay in a first-fill oloroso sherry butt. In 2021, the cask was opened by indie bottler Wilson & Morgan, releasing a total of 520 bottles, at a bold 58.3% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Honeyed melon, autumn berries, candied nuts, and a touch of citrus zest.
Palate
Nutty malt, toffee apples, and dried orange wheels, with chocolate raisins and baking spices in support.
Finish
The drying spice lingers, but so does the sweet fruit.
