A seventh batch of no-nonsense cask strength splendour from the Seaweed & Aeons crew! This 10-year-old Islay single malt boasts robust layers of earthy smoke at its core, and with a 25% portion finished in sherry casks, there's a welcome layer of sweet fruit and spice to balance it all out. Bottled up at a bold 56.5%, the cask strength ABV adds extra body and weight, making this a superbly satisfying sipper.
Candied ginger, seashells, and dried, spiced fruit are backed by coastal waves of sea spray and beach bonfire.
Robust and earthy, with burnt coffee grounds, bold peat smoke, and dustings of cocoa and cinnamon. Sticky, stewed stone fruits join in the depths, with salted dark chocolate in tow.
Powerful layers of coastal smoke, charred seaweed, espresso, and meaty malt join cakey spice, chocolate peanuts, and toasted peppercorns.
A fabulous, peaty affair. Not dissimilar to Ardbeg Corryvreckon.
