Would you look at that, it's another independent bottling of Strathmill single malt from That Boutique-y Whisky Company, and once again, we reckon this one is just right! It's a 22 year old expression, featuring a nod to the distillery's history as a porridge oats mill on the label. Well, a few nods to it. OK, the whole label is about that. It's interesting, alright!?
Batch 7 is a release of 683 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Toffee, apricots, dried fruit, a touch of furniture polish, and some tobacco just peeking through.
What a sweetie, layers of caramel and dark chocolate. This is rich and smooth with a creamy mouth-filling texture.
Long and chocolately, with almonds and then a bit of black pepper spice and leather to finish things off. Very satisfying.
