Bourbon
This Tomintoul was distilled in 2005, and was put straight into a first fill bourbon barrel for the next 13 years. After such time, it was disturbed from its rest and was bottled in September 2018 at a healthy 62.1% ABV, with only 248 bottles produced.
Fresh hay and freshly cut grass aromas, with buttery toffee sweetness.
Lovely and creamy, more toffee and a dusting of baking spices balanced by freshly cut herbs.
A kick of spice appears on the finish, with a lovely warming quality.
